Golf Course Homes in Williamsburg, VA
Williamsburg's golf communities differ in course design, club structure, and setting, and those differences matter as much as the home itself. This guide brings the leading options together so you can compare the courses, see how club membership works in each community, and browse current homes in one place.
Ford's Colony: 54 holes on three courses
Ford's Colony Country Club offers three Dan Maples–designed championship courses: the links-style Blackheath, with water on 13 holes and an island-green finish; Marsh Hawk, the original tree-lined course; and Blue Heron. The 3,200-acre gated community also has 12 miles of paved trails, pools, and tennis and pickleball courts.

Golf near the Historic Area
Colonial Williamsburg's Golden Horseshoe Golf Club offers the Gold Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and featuring one of America's first island greens; the Rees Jones–designed Green Course; and The Shoe, a nine-hole par-3 course. In-town neighborhoods such as Holly Hills are nearby. The Golden Horseshoe is not tied to a residential community, and its membership is offered separately.
How to compare golf communities
Before choosing, it helps to compare membership types and how each club's initiation and dues are structured, the homeowners association's separate amenities and fees, and whether a home borders a fairway, a green, or a pond. I'll help you gather those details for each home you consider, verified with each club. Call (757) 328-0095.
