Marina and river life
The private, protected deepwater marina on the Chickahominy and James Rivers is a certified Virginia Clean Marina. It has floating slips from 25 to 55 feet, gasoline and diesel fuel, a boat launch ramp, and 24-hour security. The Two Rivers Yacht Club, open to club members whether or not they own a boat, organizes social events, "Docktails," and cruises on nearby waters. The Chickahominy also offers tidal river fishing, and kayaking and paddleboarding are popular activities.
Beach, trails, and recreation
The private beach on the James River is open year-round. Ten miles of walking trails wind through a 200-acre nature preserve along the riverbank, and paved paths run throughout the community. Other amenities include two six-lane, 25-meter seasonal pools, clay and hard-surface tennis courts, pickleball and bocce courts, and a fitness center. Members can also join a wide range of clubs, from art classes and book clubs to the wine society and garden plots.
